Ok, so my lard isn’t as messed up as I thought. I knew for sure I had screwed it up beyond repair.
I know I over cooked it, and had way to many meat pieces in it. When it cooled, it looked like clean white lard, but did smell a little piggish, and had a rubbery brown layer on the bottom.
After all is said and done, and all the fat I cooked, I have barely a cup of lard! How is that even helpful? No idea. Not feeling good enough about it to use in soap. Not sure what I’m going to do with it…but we will see..
